CABIN

Below decks are well lights and ventilated for overnight accommodations for a couple or family with children. The two long seat berths can be made into a "jumbo" athwartships bunk with the standard cushions provided. The vee berth forward is perfect for the kids. A portable cooler is standard and there is space for a portable toilet under the vee berth. Lined storage lockers are under the seats on both sides.

DECK

The cockpit is roomy and comfortable. The cockpit seats are 6 ft. 10 inches long, with deep angled seat back and gently contoured seats. A molded in fuel tank locker and storage locker are under the cockpit seats. All non-skid surfaces are molded in.

HULL

Shoal draft and good performance in light and heavy winds dictated the Catalina 18 hull's shape. The shoal draft is possible with the low aspect ratio, internal lead keel. This eliminates the complication of a centerboard and makes trailering and ramp launching easy. The Catalina 18 is well balanced and light on the helm, inspiring confidence in the learning sailor and delighting the seasoned skipper.
